As we close out the fall months and get ready for the final stretch of 2025, I want to take a moment to share a clear, honest, and encouraging update about where we are as an organization. A lot has happened across October, and November — some visible, some behind the scenes — and every bit of it connects back to the work that each of you do every single day.
The Leadership Team and Directors have been working hard on crafting department strategies for next year that paint an exciting picture of where we want to go as an organization. I can’t wait for them to share their plans with all of you! We will share a bit more about the plans for 2026 at the Christmas Party on December 19th and at our all-staff Pep Rally on January 7th.
Meanwhile…this update is a snapshot of our progress over the last couple months, our challenges, and a sneak peek of the direction we're headed together.
GSCC Team,
I said this last month, but I want to keep repeating it until we all believe it!!! GSCC is not just a health center — it’s a mission field, a team of people who show up every day to serve with heart. In the past 30 days, you’ve welcomed new staff, adapted to big changes in operations, and kept giving your best to our patients. This update celebrates those wins, shares the challenges we’re facing, and looks at the road ahead — because every one of you matters in what we’re building.
At GSCC, we’re building more than a clinic — we’re a community health center creating a model of care where every patient feels known, cared for, and supported in every part of their health journey. That means …

We’d like to give a big shout-out to Dr. Lancarte for the incredible care and compassion he shows to every patient!
During a recent Annual Wellness Visit, a patient couldn’t stop singing his praises. She shared how grateful she is to have a provider who genuinely listens, takes his time, and thoroughly reviews every lab, report, and detail of her care. 🙌
She said it’s rare to find a provider who is not only knowledgeable, but also kind, patient, and truly invested in her well-being. It’s clear that Dr. Lancarte’s dedication leaves a lasting impression—and we couldn’t agree more!
Thank you, Dr. Lancarte, for always going above and beyond and for making your patients feel heard, supported, and cared for. 💙
I just want to give a quick shoutout to Jana. With being short handed she has really stepped up and I have never seen her loose her patience or get aggravated when there is a lot of irons in the fire at once. She takes on challenges and does not stop till she gets the correct answer.
Patient compliment: A patient of Daphnee's that is working with Lori on a care plan requested to speak to Lori's supervisor so she could express how thankful she is for us. She wanted to compliment all of GSCC. She moved her from Dallas 1.5 years ago due to health and the transition has been hard, but everyone at GSCC has really helped her. She never expected to receive this great of care. Daphnee is so caring. Pharmacy is always sweet and they make her laugh every time she comes in. Lori is very sweet and she appreciates the check in phone calls. Bloom is always so sweet, and the very first time she went there they made her feel like she knew everyone there. GSCC just bring a warmth to her and she is very appreciative of all that we are doing to care for our patients.
Lupita is amazing! When I have a question, she has an answer or she gets one (even if it's not her "duty"). If I need something, she gets it. She is so helpful and I find it very refreshing to know that if I have an oddball question, she is going to help me with it without hesitation.
Becky and Josh, thank you both for your tremendous help with the Dexcom for our 7-year-old patient. The mom was incredibly grateful that her child no longer has to endure daily finger pricks. This is a great example of teamwork at its best, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patient. ❤️
I just wanted to take a moment to share how much I appreciate Lori. I often struggle with self-pay accounts when there aren’t Good Faith Estimates in the chart, and Lori is always so helpful. She never makes me feel like I’m a bother or that she doesn’t have time—even though I know how busy she is.
Just last week, she helped me with 20 accounts in one day! She consistently goes above and beyond, always with a smile and a positive attitude. I truly value her support and teamwork.
Yesterday, while I was speaking with one of Megan’s patients, they stopped to talk about how incredible she’s been. They said they were so grateful that she pointed them in the right direction for care and helped them get everything taken care of. They told me they don’t know where they’d be without her care and passion.
